A Comprehensive Comparison Between The Amazfit GTS 3 and Amazfit GTR 3

Zepp, formerly known as Huami, is the company that produces Amazfit watches. There are two variations of these watches available: a round GTR and a square GTS. The Amazfit watches caught us completely off guard the previous year (the GTR 2, GTS 2, and GTS 2 mini). This year, we’re bringing you not one, not two, but three brand-new watches: the GTR 3, the GTS 3, and the GTR 3 Pro. If you are interested in learning more about the GTS2, you can read our review of it here.

The GTR 3 and GTS 3 in their standard configurations are the primary topics of this essay. The screens, formats, and sizes of each device are the only distinguishing characteristics between them. Do you feel like you could use some more information on them right now?

Things appear to be different on the external surfaces of the GTS 3 and GTR 3

As was the case with earlier iterations of the Amazfit watch, the most notable distinction between these two new versions is the appearance. On the Amazfit GTS 3, the case is rectangular, whereas, on the Amazfit GTR 3, the case is circular. In passing, the second option weighs a few grams more and is made out of an aluminum alloy with aircraft-grade strength.

Despite the fact that both panels are AMOLED, the architecture of the Amazfit GTS 3 enables it to have a larger display. Therefore, the display of the GTS 3 measures 1.75 inches and packs 341 pixels into each inch of its surface area. This display occupies a significant portion of the front of the watch and accounts for 72.4 percent of the watch’s total surface area.

According to Zepp, the front face of the GTR 3 is covered by a 1.39-inch AMOLED display that has a pixel density of 326 per inch and takes up 66 percent of the front. Over 150 different watch styles, some of which include animations, are available from both services. The last thing that has to be highlighted is the antimicrobial silicone straps.

Internally, there is not a single difference between the GTS 3 and GTR 3

In light of the fact that the gadgets appear to be different on the outside, let’s start by looking at and discussing the ways in which they are alike. The watches run on an operating system referred to as Zepp OS. They are compatible with both iOS and Android operating systems, operate with Apple Health and Google Fit, as well as Strava, Relive, Runkeeper, and TrainingPeaks, and have these features.

At the very bottom of the apparatus is where you’ll find a BioTracker PPG 3.0 sensor, which monitors blood oxygen levels, heart rate, stress levels, and respiration rates. It is also able to do all of these actions automatically and in live time; however, this may cause your battery to discharge more quickly.

In addition to this, it examines the quality of sleep that the user is getting, down to the length of any naps that last longer than 20 minutes. In addition to that, it keeps track of your menstrual cycle for you. Additional applications consist of a calendar, the ability to control a camera remotely, the administration of notifications and calls, and more.

Because the GPS chip is built into both of our watches, we won’t need to bring our phones with us when we go for a run. They can keep tabs on as many as 150 different sports modes using this method. The batteries in both of them are 450 mAh. On the other hand, the GTR 3 has an autonomy of up to 21 days, while the GTS 3 only has an autonomy of up to 12 days. Lastly, the function that they have is Alexa, which, when connected to a smartphone through Bluetooth, can be used to control home automation systems.

Cost and Availablity of the GTS 3 and GTR 3

On October 11, 2021, sales of the Amazfit GTR 3 and the Amazfit GTS 3 began. The public may purchase both of these devices right now in the United States and Europe for less than $180 each.
