According to the FCC listing, a new Honor watch and fitness band are on the way

In the near future, an Honor-branded smartwatch and fitness band should be available. Both have previously been given the green light by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

The Watch ES and Watch GT Pro were the final two wearables in the collection. Last year, the duo debuted at IFA Berlin. It was the first time such a large European assembly was held entirely online.

The Watch ES is a sporty-looking, lightweight timepiece. The huge extended display is its defining characteristic. The pricing is attractive, with the proviso that there is no built-in GPS, barometer, or audio storage. The decent fitness and sleep tracking metrics, as well as the excellent battery life, impressed us in our evaluation.

The Watch GS Pro is a completely different animal. This is a tough, all-around device with a plethora of sensors, GPS, and other features. It’s a bit thick, so it’s definitely not for women or those with small wrists.

There are two new FCC registrations.

We’ll be getting two more Honor wearables soon. It’s clear from the FCC listings dated March 3rd that this is a smartwatch and fitness band. The first is known as the Honor SmartWatch and has the model number HES-B39, while the second is known as the Honor Smart Band CRS-B39S. These are most likely merely FCC documentation references, not the final names.

It will be interesting to see how these two wearables turn out, especially since Huawei purchased Honor in November 2020. A couple of years ago, Honor was founded as a spin-off brand of the IT behemoth. One of the contrasts between the two was that it offered equivalent quality at a lower price than Huawei’s offerings. This was aided in part by the fact that it was exclusively sold online.

Honor had previously taken much from Huawei in terms of technology. The Watch ES and Watch GT Pro, for example, are quite similar to the Huawei Watch Fit and GT2 Pro.

But we’ll have to wait a little longer to find out what Honor has planned. The FCC documentation reveals very little, as is customary. The type of wearable is listed, as well as battery information. The watch will be powered by a 180 mAh battery, while the fitness band will be powered by a 100 mAh battery. Perhaps the band was the $35 Honor Band 6 that was introduced at CES 2021. However, because the Smart Band’s battery capacity is significantly lower, this is almost certainly a brand-new wearable.

The samples in question, according to the FCC documents, are production models of the smartwatches. This is yet another sign that the launch date is approaching quickly.
