Apple has officially introduced the new Powerbeats Pro headphones in conjunction with the debut of the second-generation AirPods. They have enhanced sound quality, a longer battery life, sweat and water resistance, and a brand new design.
The Beats brand has been owned by Apple since 2014. The Powerbeats3 wireless earphones were replaced by the new headphones.
The new Powerbeat Pro from Apple has improved aesthetics, sound, and battery life.
The Powerbeats Pro, like the AirPods, do away with the neck cable connecting the left and right earbuds and add a wireless charging case. Another commonality is the H1 processor, which provides increased power, quicker device pairing and synchronisation, and support for the digital assistant “Hey Siri.”
The earhook style from the previous generation has been maintained by Beats, but the new model is 23 percent smaller and 17 percent lighter. The power button on the buds is lost. Instead, they will turn on when removed from the charging case and turn off when reinserted. Playback will stop if you take them out of your ear. For convenience, there are still physical controls for volume and track playback on each earphone.
The four sizes of ear tips available should guarantee that they stay in place throughout vigorous activities. The earbuds are sweat and water resistant, but not completely waterproof.
The voice boosting technology is another advancement over the previous generation. The headphones have two beam-forming microphones and a speech-detecting accelerometer in each earbud. Together, they isolate your voice and block out background noise. Perfect for a quick call when travelling.
According to Beats, the development of the Powerbeats Pro gave sound first attention. A more potent acoustic response, minimal distortion, and excellent dynamic range are what users may anticipate.
The battery life is also rather decent. The earbuds can play music for up to 9 hours on their own. With the charging case, this increases to 24 hours. The magnetic closure case is incompatible with Qi wireless charging, unlike the Airpods. The earbuds are compatible with Beats’ Fast Fuel technology, which enables 1.5 hours of listening after 5 minutes of charging and 4.5 hours after 15 minutes.
“Powerbeats Pro is a beautifully balanced combination of great sound, comfort, and usability.” According to Luke Wood, president of Beats, Powerbeats are already the top workout headphones in the world and are now untethered with all the advantages of the Apple H1 processor.
You are no longer forced to choose between performance and practicality because it excels on both counts.
In the US and 20 other countries, the Powerbeats Pro headphones are slated to go on sale in May. Soon after, other nations and areas would do the same. There will be four colour options for the buds (black, ivory, navy, and moss). They’ll cost $250, which is significantly more than the $160 AirPods.
