Throughout your entire life, sleep will play an important part in maintaining your overall health and well-being. Taking care of your mental health, physical health, quality of life, and overall safety by getting sufficient amounts of quality sleep at the appropriate times will assist. When it comes to optimizing performance at the level of a professional athlete, exercise, food, and training are all extremely important factors. However, getting enough sleep is also essential. The difference between winning and losing a game can often be as simple as getting enough sleep the night before.
According to Roger Goodell, the commissioner of the National Football League (NFL), “We are continuously analyzing world-class technology and partners and know this unprecedented alliance will allow athletes the potential to improve their performance through tailored, smarter sleep.”
“We are offering the groundbreaking technology developed by Sleep Number to maximize the body’s most fundamental requirement for rejuvenation—sleep—in order to boost the well-being of our players and coaches,”
The heart and breathing rates of the sleeper, as well as their presence and level of restfulness, are monitored hundreds of times per second by biometric sensors that are embedded into Sleep Number mattresses. The companion app provides insights and makes suggestions on how to obtain a better night’s sleep, and it makes these available in the morning.
