Spotify may now be accessed through the Vivoactive 3’s music library. Late in 2017, Garmin also added support for the Fenix 5 Plus and Forerunner 645 Music. Both of these watches now have access to the service.
Swedish-based The most popular music streaming service in the world is called Spotify. Both a freemium version with limited functionality and advertisements, as well as a paid subscription service, are available to users.
Users of the Vivoactive 3 Music who have their smartwatches connected to a Wi-Fi network may now build and sync Spotify playlists, albums, and podcasts, and then access those items through the app that corresponds to their smartwatch. They are able to download all of this content for offline listening if they have a premium subscription. Prior to this update, owners of the Vivoactive 3 Music were only able to stream music from iHeartRadio and Deezer.
The Connect IQ shop offers a download of the Spotify app for users’ mobile devices. Following the installation of this update, the service is now accessible on all Garmin devices that are capable of offline music storage. The company could not provide an explanation as to why the rollout of Spotify to Vivoactive 3 Music took so long.
