Garmin has introduced the Approach S40, a sleek GPS watch designed specifically for golfers

Garmin has introduced a new product that will further expand the company’s already extensive lineup of products geared toward golfers. The Approach S40 is a modern GPS watch that looks great and can be worn both on and off the golf course.

The device’s design features include a sunlight-readable color touchscreen display measuring 1.2 inches and a metal bezel around the screen. Because the bands include quick release buttons, you can easily change the style to suit any event.

The Approach S40 comes with a multitude of features and is preloaded with more than 41,000 courses from around the world. These features are designed to make your game more fun and take it up a level. The ability to manually set the pin for more accurate approach shots is one of the features that it offers. Golfers can quickly find out how far away the front, middle, and back of the green are, as well as how far away hazards and doglegs are.The watch is capable of providing accurate yardages, it has a scorecard function, and it has a game-tracking feature called AutoShot that automatically records shot distances.

However, the S40 is not merely a watch designed for golfers. It can also function as a regular smartwatch, measuring activities such as the number of steps taken, distance traveled, calories burned, and hours of sleep. Additionally, it features multi-sport profiles that are pre-installed. Notifications for incoming phone calls, texts, emails, and other alerts are included as part of the smart feature.

The life of the battery is satisfactory. The watch can go up to 10 days without needing to be charged and can last for 15 hours while it is being used as a smartwatch.

You can purchase the Approach S40 at for the price of $299.99. There is a bundled version that includes a three-pack of Approach CT10 club sensors, which can be purchased for automatic game tracking that is even more precise. At the time of this writing, the availability is expected to be between three and five weeks.

According to Dan Bartel, worldwide vice president of consumer sales for Garmin, “the hallmark of the new Approach S40 is its exceptional ability to offer high-quality functionality both on and off the course.” This statement was made in reference to the new golf GPS device.

“The Approach S40 looks beautiful on your wrist and provides golfers with just what they need with a combination of high-sensitivity GPS golf accuracy on the course and top-notch smartwatch functions that track everyday activities,” the company says.
