Huawei has submitted trademark applications for a new smartwatch, which is almost certainly the Huawei Watch 3.

There are three distinct filings that have been presented to the office of intellectual property of the European Union. These filings refer to devices with the names Anchor, Unlimited, and Voyage. It’s possible that these are three variations of the same watch, or they might be three altogether different devices. Because no further information has been disclosed, it is not obvious how the versions will differ from one another. According to the Nice Classifications number 9, 14, and 41, the wearables will be equipped with GPS and a heart rate monitor.

And despite the fact that the names do not directly allude to the Huawei Watch 3, we are aware that the business has been hard at work on a new edition of the second-generation piece for some time. Devices that are in the process of being developed by companies frequently have codenames. Since the Huawei Watch 2 was initially introduced in April of 2017, it is high time for an update.

Having said that, the Chinese multinational technology corporation Huawei did, in fact, launch the Huawei Watch 2 (2018) earlier on in 2018. But other than the support for eSim, the specifications remain the same. This comprises a touchscreen with a resolution of 390 x 390, a 1.2-inch AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 2100 engine, 4GB RAM, and 768MB of built-in storage space. There is also a wide variety of sensors, such as an accelerometer, gyroscope, barometer, global positioning system (GPS), heart rate sensor, ambient light sensor, geomagnetic sensor, and capacitance sensor.

There is very little other information available regarding the Huawei Watch 3, but if these copyrights are any indication, the release date should not be too far off. At IFA 2018 in Berlin, which takes place at the end of August or the beginning of September, the watch’s debut wouldn’t surprise us in the least. The attendance of the company’s representatives at the event has already been confirmed.
