Huawei patents 3D CuteMoji, the Chinese alternative to Animojis and AR Emojis

Huawei , which has recently sanctioned two employees for posting a tweet to the company’s official Twitter account from an iPhone , is preparing the landing of its new devices. If a leak recently pointed to the arrival of two new color variants for the Huawei Mate 20 Pro , it has now been known that the company prepares the 3D CuteMoji .

From LetsGoDigital they have announced that Huawei has patented 3D CuteMoji , the Chinese alternative to Animojis and AR Emojis. The company presented a trademark on December 28 in Peru with the 3D name CuteMoji , a request that was submitted by an intermediary called Indecopi . A company that is classified as “Computer programs, data processing equipment, downloadable software.”

As the name implies, it is a new set of 3D emoticons , which will probably be included in the next flagships of Huawei. Emoji characters are not new in the world of smartphones since Apple introduced the Animoji last 2017 for iPhone X .

3D CuteMoji, the Huawei alternative

Samsung followed the path with its own emoticons, called AR Emoji , and, even, Asus chose the name ZeniMoji for his own. With the P20 series last year, Huawei equipped an Augmented Reality lens that looks like a variation of Apple and Samsung emoticons . With the Mate 20 Pro the lens function was replaced by the 3D Live Emoji , also known as Qmoji and that allows you to select an avatar, record a message and share it.

It is expected that 3D CuteMoji are not very different from them , although they could contain more human qualities. In the filtered image, you can see an avatar of Donald Trump , president of the United States, with two totally different facial expressions.

The information indicates that the Huawei P30 series will be officially shown at the next Mobile World Congress , which will be held at the end of February in the city of Barcelona. An event that the company could use to present the 3D CuteMoji.
