Mijia, an affordable Quartz watch packed with smart functions, has been released by Xiaomi.

The Quartz clock known as Mijia has been introduced by Xiaomi. It comes with a variety of useful functions and is priced affordably.

Watches with hybrid designs combine the timeless appeal of traditional timepieces with the cutting-edge functionality of modern smartwatches. The housing of these gadgets covertly conceals technology that monitors your daily activities and keeps track of it in the background. Some even show the alerts from the user’s smartphone.

Xiaomi is the first company to enter this particular market. Because of the company’s objective of making consumer electronics more affordable, the world’s largest technology company has been acquiring market dominance in the wearables sector. The Mi Band 3 was just released a short while ago by the firm. It is an enhanced version of the famous fitness tracker that this company already offers, and it comes with better OLED, NFC, and other features.

Mijia is the company’s response to fitness trackers such as the Nokia Steel, the Misfit Command, and the Garmin Vivomove. It has a straightforward appearance and clocks in at 40 millimetres in circumference. The dial of the watch features the traditional arrangement of two hands, and beneath it is a secondary dial that displays the total number of steps. The MiFit app is utilised by Xiaomi’s first hybrid, just like it is with the MiBand.

The watch is equipped with a vibrating call notification system, an alarm clock, and the ability to track basic fitness metrics such as calories burned, steps completed, and distance travelled. Additionally, the watch supports several time zones. The companion smartphone app allows for the complete personalization of all of this content.

The dial is protected by mineral glass, while the housing is constructed out of stainless steel. The straps include a quick-release mechanism, and they are available in three different colours: black, grey, and white. The entire device is watertight to a depth of thirty metres and runs on a CR2430 battery, which provides power to a low-power Bluetooth module.

The watch can be purchased for CNY 349, or USD 52. Because of this, it is one of the hybrid smartwatches that offers the most value for the money. At the moment, it is only available in China, but it shouldn’t be too much longer until it becomes available in other countries as well.
