Misfit's second hybrid wristwatch, the Command, is here to help you take on the day

A brand new hybrid timepiece has just been introduced by Misfit. This is the company’s second attempt at developing a product that promises to track your fitness while looking appropriate for a formal dinner. The product in question is called Misfit Command.

At the beginning of this year, we had the opportunity to see it in action at IFA in Berlin, and we came away appropriately impressed. Command, which is already well-known for its fashionable selection of accessories and apparel, combines the most advantageous aspects of both worlds. A sleek, contemporary, and discreet appearance on the outside, and the most cutting-edge technological capabilities on the inside.

In 2018, Misfit expanded its lineup of wearables with the introduction of Phase, the company’s first analogue watch. The Command appears to be a lot more knowledgeable timepiece. About two years ago, Fossil completed the acquisition of the company, and the brand’s imprint is beginning to become more noticeable. In reality, the new hybrid is rather similar to previous items in Fossil’s inventory, especially the Skagen Hagen Connected.

The top hybrid watches offer the advantages of both analogue and digital timekeeping.

If you only looked at it, you probably wouldn’t guess that this is a device that uses advanced technology. Furthermore, this is the goal that Misfit wishes to achieve.A watch that mixes in well with the rest of your life. The outside of the Command is made of stainless steel and has a matte appearance. There are numerous 20mm strap options available for you to choose from so that you can tailor it to your preferences.

Keep in mind that the device will only be able to provide the most fundamental aspects of fitness tracking for you. You will only receive information on your steps, distance traveled, calories burned, and hours slept if the accelerometer is built-in. Don’t bother looking for a heart rate monitor because it isn’t in that room.

There is also some functionality similar to that of a smartwatch. This provides alerts for new messages, reminders, and calendar appointments, as well as a smart button function that can be customized using the Link app and additional features. In addition, you have the ability to generate intelligent alerts, generate reminders to move around, and operate other linked intelligent devices.

Connect adds a little sub-dial with smaller icons that helps you know what you are looking at, in contrast to the Phase, which relied on color coding to convey the nature of the information that was being displayed. It is possible that at first it is not very intuitive, but in order to find a way to display notifications on a watch that does not have a digital screen, you will definitely need to be creative.

The battery in the Command does not require recharging and can last for up to one year, making it the Misfit device with the greatest battery life to date. You don’t need to worry about taking it off in the water because it can withstand being submerged in water for up to fifty meters.

The game Misfit Command can be downloaded from the website of the corporation. The price begins at $150, and you have the choice of selecting from Black Steel, Black Copper, Navy Blue, or Stainless Steel for your device. You may also buy it on Amazon, if you want (check price).
