Moto G Smartwatch, Moto Watch, and Moto One will all be available in 2021

This year, Moto plans to release three new smartwatches. Moto G smartwatches, Moto Watches, and Moto One smartwatches are among them.

The most recent Moto timepiece was released in 2019.

The first Moto 360 was released in 2014, coinciding with the launch of Google’s Android Wear (now Wear OS) platform. The clever form factor and round LCD panel piqued people’s interest. In the fall of 2015, a second generation was released.

However, because of lackluster sales, Motorola was forced to reconsider its strategy. It chose to exit the smartwatch market entirely in early 2017.

The reasons were given at the time by Shakil Barkat, the head of Motorola’s global product development.

“Wearables don’t have a broad enough appeal for us to keep investing in them year after year.”

Fans of Motorola, on the other hand, have reason to be hopeful. Barkat did not completely shut down the company’s doors, and he hinted that it might re-enter the market.

“We believe the wrist still has value, and there will come a time when it provides consumers with more value than it does today.”

That was at the beginning of 2017. In late 2019, the third generation of the Moto 360 was released. The watch, however, was not wholly made by Motorola. eBuyNow was the one who made it. This is a company established in Canada that works with major companies to “assist in the speedy execution of new product development.” According to their website, Microsoft, Samsung, Toshiba, and Panasonic are among their clientele.

The 3rd edition Moto360 includes some useful upgrades in terms of specifications. There’s 1 GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, and a host of fitness monitoring devices, including a heart rate monitor, on board. Outside workout data is precise thanks to GPS, and NFC may be used to make payments on the fly.

The Moto360 smartwatch, 3rd generation, has been reintroduced.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 quad-core CPU is at the heart of everything. A 355mAh battery powers the watch and can be charged in under an hour. The battery life is around a day, but this is with the display turned on all the time (Ambient Mode). Furthermore, there’s a “Battery Saver Mode” that kicks in automatically when needed and can keep the device running for up to three days.

From a design standpoint, we get the Moto360 look. The 3ATM water-resistant watch boasts a curved stainless-steel casing and a 1.2-inch OLED display that is energy-efficient (327 PPI).

In 2021, Motorola will release three new watches

Now comes word of Motorola’s re-entry into the smartwatch market. CE Brands Inc., located in Canada, provided the facts in a presentation. eBuyNow was a completely owned subsidiary of theirs until it was amalgamated into CE Brands a few years ago.

In 2021, the presentation lists a slew of new items. Three devices with the names Moto G Smartwatch, Moto Watch, and Moto One are listed among these. The first will arrive in June, followed by the other two in July. All three of them are depicted in the timeline below.

In 2021, the Moto G Smartwatch, Moto Watch, and Moto One will all be available.

The Moto G has a manly appearance. It might be a smartwatch, a sports watch, or a hybrid of the two. It looks a lot like the Moto 360, with two tactile buttons on the right. Motorola is likely to continue with Wear OS.

The other two devices, on the other hand, appear to be more lightweight and gender-neutral. They remind me a little of the Amazfit watch line.

Motorola has yet to make an official statement. The information in this post is based on a publicly available CE Brands presentation, thus whether or not we see the timepieces according to the timeframe remains to be seen. This link will take you to the full document.
