On July 29th, the Chinese smart wearable maker Huami intends to introduce a Lite version of its Amazfit Bip S smartwatch to the Indian market. A preview of the product may be found on Flipkart before it was officially released.
The Amazfit Bip S was presented to the public for the first time at CES 2020 at the beginning of 2020. It is an upgraded model of the well-known Bip and features increased water resistance to 5 ATMs, an enhanced GPS chip and pulse rate monitor, additional activity modes, and other enhancements.
We have had some time to get used to the idea that there would be a Lite edition. A few months ago, the Federal Communications Commission gave their official blessing to Bip S and gave it their seal of approval (FCC). One of the parallel entries suggested something called the Lite edition.
The gadget that served as its predecessor was also available in a version with fewer features. The one that costs more money has a GPS/GLONASS receiver, a geomagnetic sensor, and an air pressure sensor built into it. This is the primary distinction between the two.
Therefore, the Amazfit Bip S will be further simplified with the release of the Bip S Lite. According to the information provided on the Flipkart page, the watch would become available in a few weeks.
The official video teaser depicts a smartwatch that is very identical in appearance to the Amazfit Bip S. It is a gadget that has a square-ish form factor and a single physical dial on the side.
There isn’t much information available regarding the actual specifications, but we do know that instead of the 10 sports modes seen on the Bip S, it will have 8. It is also 1 gramme lighter than the original (30 grams).
According to Flipcart, it is anticipated that this iteration would be “light on your wrist, pocket, and design.” Uncertain at this point is if Huami will make the same decision about GPS as it did when developing the Bip Lite version.
Charcoal Black, Sakura Pink, and Oxford Blue are the three colour options that will be offered for the smartwatch. When they are released on July 29 in India, the price of all three will be Rs 4999, which is equivalent to around USD 65.
Only recently was the Amazfit Bip S made available for purchase in the United States of America and a variety of other nations. You may get more information about it on Amazon.
