The Swiss company MyKronoz made the announcement today that the ZeTime hybrid watch is now available for purchase. The product will be on exhibit in Berlin at the Internationale Funkausstellung (IFA) and beginning September 12 in San Francisco at the Mobile World Congress (MWC).
The company’s clock has raised more than $6 million through the crowdfunding platform since the beginning of this year. The amount of money raised makes it the crowdfunding initiative that has ever received the most support from a European firm. We are not just reinventing the experience that customers enjoy with technology with this launch, but we are also introducing new features. Most importantly, we are setting a new benchmark in the traditional watchmaking industry as well as the industry of wearing watches. Boris Brault, MyKronoz CEO, remarked.
This event is a turning point for our company and shows how serious we are about becoming the market leader for the next generation of connected watches.
The fact that ZeTime is the first hybrid timepiece in the world, meaning that it combines mechanical hands with a full-round color touchscreen, is the primary selling point. That means it gives you the advantages of both of the aforementioned options. This watch, in contrast to others, will continue to display the current time even when its touchscreen is disabled. In order to accomplish this, the central portion of the console has a hole drilled into it, and the hand gears are attached to this hole.
In addition to having a battery life of up to 30 days, being water resistant, having an optical heart rate sensor, and having a number of other smartwatch and fitness tracking features, ZeTime comes equipped with some ingenious technology that moves the hands out of the way when you are reading notifications. The watch features a 3-axis accelerometer and an optical heart-rate sensor, and it is able to monitor the wearer’s heart rate, steps taken, distance traveled, calories burned, amount of active time, and quality of sleep.
The MyKronoz watch, which was designed to complement a variety of looks and is scheduled to begin distribution to supporters in September, In the following weeks, we will be publishing our review, so stay tuned for that.
