The AKI smartwatch, which incorporates technology developed by Samsung, will keep your children safe

The AKI is a brand-new wristwatch that was created to provide parents with reassurance regarding the safety of their children. It was made by Never Labs, a company that makes gadgets that are mobile and based on where they are.

AKI is powered by a chipset manufactured by Samsung with the model number Exynos 7270 Dual 14nm. This chipset features a dual-core CPU and an integrated LTE modem. Both the Samsung Gear S3 Sport and the Samsung Gear S3 Frontier are powered by the same operating system. AKI has a lot of smart features and can run for days on a single charge because it has high specs and uses little power.

This includes Never Labs’ own unique WiFi positioning system (WPS), which finds a child’s precise location no matter if they are inside or outside the house. The device is even able to remember the pattern of the child’s daily routine and will send an alarm to the parents if there is an unexpected change or divergence from what the device believes to be typical.

AKI is equipped with the personal assistant service CLOVA and supports calls via VoLTE networks. The device places a strong emphasis on education and, to that end, translates speech into a number of different languages. These languages include English, Korean, Japanese, and Chinese.

Never Labs has implemented data and information encryption using ARM TrustZone as a hardware-based security measure in order to allay concerns over customers’ rights to privacy. A customized Wi-Fi fingerprinting technology has also been integrated into the device.

This smartwatch has a straightforward design but is nevertheless quite robust and enjoyable to use. It features an AMOLED touchscreen display that is 1.2 inches in size and has a water resistance rating of IP68.

For the time being, AKI may only be purchased in South Korea. There has been no announcement regarding pricing or a timetable for when it will be available south of the border. We are not exactly spoiled for choice when it comes to finding high-quality smartwatches for children, so we really hope that this happens sooner rather than later.
