The panic button project received seed funding in the amount of $3 million from Ripple

Ripple Network Technologies has made public the news that it was able to successfully close the seed financing round it had been working on for the past three million dollars. The funding will be put toward a full-scale launch of the Ripple Safety gadget as well as the expansion of the team that is responsible for developing the wearable device.

Earlier this year, we published a piece in which we discussed a device that is dedicated to being by your side in times of need. The business attempted to raise the $50,000 required to begin production of the gadget through the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter. However, they were ultimately unsuccessful.

Despite the fact that the project was canceled back in March, Ripple Network Technologies did not give up. The failure was attributed by the company to the fact that they did not reach a sufficient number of women within the Kickstarter community, which was the primary target audience for such a device.

One of the people behind the initiative, Rees Gillespie, wrote in an email to potential backers at the time, “Through considerable customer contact, we learnt that the ladies we approached outside of the community were too unfamiliar with Kickstarter to back the campaign.”

“We have come to the conclusion that it is in everyone’s best interest to cancel the campaign and move all of the activity over to our website at, where we will very shortly begin accepting preorders.” According to the information that we’ve gathered, our customers would feel more at ease placing orders directly through our website rather than using the platform that Kickstarter provides, and so that is what we want to do.

It would appear that within a short period of time after the campaign was cancelled, the firm was “flooded with requests from investors, retail locations, and influencers who all want to bring Ripple to life.” But that’s not the end of it. The company promised their Kickstarter backers a Ripple device together with free service for a period of three months as a sign of their gratitude for their support.

The wearable item looks like a padlock and is around the size of a dime. Because it is designed like a brooch clip, it is very simple to attach to things like keys, jewelry, or clothing. If the user activates the device or launches the app, the expert monitoring team will immediately place a call to the user’s mobile device.

If you are now in a position that makes you feel uneasy, you should click once. This phrase is used whenever you simply want someone else to be there for you. If you are in what you believe to be a life-threatening situation but are unable to communicate with anybody by phone, you can dispatch help to your location by clicking the button three or more times. The monitoring team will do so immediately. They will also provide all of the vital information that you have provided to them on your behalf.

The user also has the option to forgo the live-monitoring service and instead send an alert to a set of friends that they have previously selected. This service is provided at no cost to the customer. There is a continuing fee of ten dollars every month to access all of the features. The price of the wearable item by itself is only $19.

You will be asked during the creation of your personal profile to select which details you are willing to make public. This includes a picture of you, your date of birth, a description of your physical appearance, any allergies or medical issues you have, a list of medications you are currently taking, and anything else you believe may be relevant. This means that the support team is aware of all of your essential information in advance, which will save you a significant amount of time in the event of an emergency.

Ripple Safety can withstand contact with water and does not require charging. The battery has a lifespan of half a year, and when it does run out, a replacement will be provided at no cost to you.
