Wahoo's newest GPS bike computer is called ELEMNT ROAM

Wahoo just revealed a brand-new model for its ELEMNT GPS computer line. The ELEMNT ROAM integrates all of the best features and easy setup of the ELEMNT and ELEMNT BOLT, and adds a full slate of smart navigation features, a sharper display, and a sleeker form factor.

The device is the first cycling computer from Wahoo with a full color display. The 2.7” display comes with an ambient light sensor that automatically changes its brightness. Additionally, Quick Look LED capabilities and an aero mounting mechanism are included with ROAM.

Navigation has received a boost and now includes capabilities you won’t find on other smartphones in the ELEMNT series. These will enable you to locate the quickest route home or to generate a new route on the fly if you go off course.

ROAM interfaces with the full Wahoo Fitness Ecosystem, just like previous ELEMNT computers. The device supports both ANT+ and Bluetooth Smart connections, so it plays well with third-party sensors, too. The excellent battery life of 17 hours between charges is more than sufficient for even the longest trips.

ELEMNT Wahoo’s newest GPS bike computer is called ROAM.

“We are so excited to offer ROAM — a computer purposefully designed to meet the challenges of cyclists around the world, especially navigating while riding,” said Chip Hawkins, Wahoo CEO and Founder. “More cyclists are using their bikes to explore less-trafficked areas or navigate while riding on new roads or trails.”

“With ROAM, we’ve taken our proven, intuitive, and easy-to-use ELEMNT platform—adored by all kinds of riders—and added capabilities to create a powerful new tool that cyclists can use to lead them on every kind of ride.”

ROAM is available starting today for $379.99 at WahooFitness.com. Additionally, you may find it at clevertraining.com and other reputable retailers.
