Wondercise now tracks both upper and lower body form at CES 2021

A new Multi-Point Motion Match personal training system from Wondercise will be unveiled at CES 2021. The second-generation band has a leg strap in addition to the wristband for tracking upper body movements. As before, all of this is compared to the real-time movements of on-screen trainers.

In our review a few months ago, we found Wondercise to be effective. It’s a cutting-edge service that allows you to work out in the privacy of your own home. The fitness classes are identical to what you’d get if you went to your local gym. This is especially important today, when we are encouraged to maintain social distance and spend as much time as possible at home.

The high quality of Wondercise’s videos and its extensive range of workouts set it apart from the competition. There are almost 300 classes available, offering sessions for people of various ages and professions.

There’s also motion tracking technology to consider. It basically turns the experience into a game and gives you something to aim for.

The firm was one of the first to provide such a service. In fact, it’s a couple of years older than Apple’s recently introduced Fitness+. And now Wondercise is breaking new ground once more. It’s expanding its motion matching technology to track the shape of both your upper and lower body at the same time.

Two trackers are included in the box with the second version of Wondercise. One is a wristband, like before, with the addition of a leg strap. The latter consists of a breathable nylon that is comfortable to the touch. A two-in-one wireless charger is also included. It can last up to seven days between charges when used to power the bands.

Both fitness devices operate together to track your entire range of movements. This allows the machine to better comprehend your movements. Using merely a fitness band, AI can’t identify the difference between a squat and a lunge. It can now be attached to your leg if you add something to it. This is the purpose of Wondercise’s aptly named Multi-Point System.

The smartphone app receives information on movement, heart rate, and cardio burn through Bluetooth 5.0. The points system can then be followed in the app. This metric measures how similar your motions are to those of the trainer on screen. Connecting all of these to your smart TV will provide an even greater experience. That makes it feel like you’re in a gym.

You may still use an Apple Watch or a Garmin wearable instead of the Wondercise fitness band. This helps to keep costs down because you don’t have to buy the entire bundle.

A monthly subscription to the Wondercise service costs $35.99 per year or $4.99 per month. If you want to see what it’s all about, there’s also a 14-day free trial. The second Wondercise is set to debut in late Q1 2021, with retailers and pricing to be announced later.
