The music streaming service Deezer, which is used by a lot of people, is now available on some Garmin smartwatches, the company said.
The company, which is headquartered in Paris, provides its 14 million customers with access to more than 53 million recordings, which makes its entire music collection among the most vast in the world.
Users of the Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music, Forerunner 645 Music, Fenix 5 Plus range, and D2 Delta range will be enabled to use Deezer to stream their preferred songs beginning this week. iHeart Radio was the only streaming music service that could be subscribed to on Garmin watches until recently.
Users will be required to install the application on their wristwatch via Garmin Connect, start the app, choose Deezer within the Music Providers portion, link via WiFi, register and log into their profile, and finally play music from their wristwatch. After the service has been installed, they will have the ability to keep more than one hundred songs on their smartwatch, sync playlists, receive a daily refresh of tunes through Deezer Flow, and select from a number of different individualized playlists.
People living in the United States will also have the opportunity to sign up for a premium membership of the program free of charge for a period of 3 months. This gives you access to additional music and playlists, as well as ad-free listening and other benefits. Customers will be charged $9.99 every month if they don’t cancel their subscription before the trial period ends.
“Music can become a big motivator throughout any training session or action, and we’re eager to offer our consumers the opportunity to abandon their smartphones and pay heed to their favourite tracks straight from the forearm,” said Dan Bartel, Vice President of Global Consumer Sales for Garmin.
The Deezer app is available as a free download in the Garmin Connect IQ store for owners of Garmin devices.
