The Edge Explore is a user-friendly bicycle computer that was recently introduced by Garmin. It contains a touchscreen and many functions that are designed to assist cyclists in improving their situational awareness when riding on crowded roads. The cool gadget comes with bike-specific maps, route ideas, and a GPS that tracks where you ride, how far you go, how fast you go, and how high you go.

According to Dan Bartel, vice president of global consumer sales for Garmin, the new Edge Explore will be with riders every step of the way, whether they are traveling through picturesque country roads or to nearby shops and restaurants.

The 3-inch high-resolution touchscreen display is simple to set up and can be viewed in every riding condition, whether in direct sunshine, on a cloudy day, or even in the rain. This makes sure that you will still get the directions you need without missing out on the beautiful sights along the way.

The pre-loaded maps come with turn-by-turn navigation and a TrackBack feature, which makes it simple to find your way back to your starting point if you get lost along the way to your destination. Users can explore and download options for routes based on their preferences using the Course Creator in Garmin Connect before setting out on their journey. This uses the path that other Garmin cyclists have suggested to Trendline as being the most popular.

When it comes to the many safety features, the Garmin Varia devices are compatible with the Edge Explore. Because of this, you can use it in conjunction with the RTL511 bike radar to receive warnings of approaching vehicles from a distance of up to 140 meters. The UT800 smart light illuminates the road in front of you and adapts its brightness based on the pace at which you are traveling. In the event of an accident, Edge Explore will send your location right away to the people you have listed as emergency contacts.

It should come as no surprise that there are also certain features that let you stay connected even when you’re on the move. The bike computer has LiveTrack, GroupTrack, and rider-to-rider texting, and any text messages that are sent or received will be shown on the screen.

The battery life of the Edge Explore can last for up to 12 hours when it is set to GPS mode. You can anticipate it to become available in the third quarter at a suggested retail price of $249.99.
