The WIWE ECG monitor now has the ability to assess heart rate variability (HRV)

The WIWE ECG monitor now has the ability to take HRV values on demand. This is a no-cost software upgrade.

The device goes above and beyond most other home ECG monitors by providing a more complete examination of your ECG, including anomalies in the ventricular department as well as atrial activity. It does so with 98.7% accuracy, allowing you to keep an eye on potential arrhythmias, stroke risks, and the risk of abrupt cardiac arrest. If you keep the credit-sized device in your pocket, you can also get some extras like SpO2 measurements and the capacity to count steps. This list can now include heart rate variability (HRV). It came as a result of a firmware update that was applied earlier today.

HRV, or heart rate variability, is a measurement of the fluctuation in the time interval between heartbeats. It is preferable if the value is higher. Age, exercise level, stress, and cardiovascular disorders all have an impact on the figure.

The number of devices that can generate raw HRV statistics is limited. Can be used: Polar Ignite and Vantage, as well as some heart rate chest straps and a few other wearables.

After a standard 60-second ECG measurement, WIWE users will now observe a new line-bar. On a sliding scale, the bar depicts their HRV. Everything is color-coded for easier comprehension.

To make things even simpler, the Hungarian outfit has decided to assign your score to one of five tiers. When your HRV score is low, you are in Grade 1. This refers to a lack of physical fitness or preparedness to perform. It’s best to take it easy on that particular day. Grade 2 is below average, grade 3 is average, grade 4 is above average, and grade 5 is above average.

Users can also see a graph of their heart rate values, which includes SDNN (ms), RMSSD (ms), and PNN50 (percent) values. The HRV assessment is based on all of these factors.

The first is the mean difference of all intervals between heart beats, and the second is the square root of the sum of the differences in the sequential series of intervals between heart beats, in case you’re curious. The percentage ratio of nearby NN distances when the distance is at least 50ms is the final step.
