Samsung Galaxy Active (Sport) User Opinions and Reviews

Renders of the next Samsung Galaxy Active (Sport) have already been made available to us, but now we have information regarding the complete set of specifications and features.

The information was extracted from the firmware files of the watch and made available to XDA Developers. This demonstrates that Samsung’s wearable device would be referred to as the Galaxy Watch Active, rather than the Galaxy Watch Sport, as was previously believed. The new name, which will be used for the revised version of Samsung Gear, will bring the product more closely in line with the Galaxy brand.

The firmware files make reference to a smartwatch with the model name SM-R500 that was given the codename “Pulse.” Earlier information has revealed that these labels are connected to the future Smartwatches in some way. Tizen 4.0.0.3 will serve as the operating system for the Watch Active, as was to be expected.

Logos for the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active. When it comes to technical specifications, the sleek-looking smartphone has a display that is improved over its predecessor by 0.1 inch. Both of them include two physical buttons on the right side, but the recessed side buttons on the Gear Sport have a more rounded form and appear better than the ones on the Gear 2. Earlier images suggest that the new watch will not have the rotating bezel of the model that came before it.

The Gear Active comes with an LTE option, a speaker, and a more powerful processor than the Gear Sport (Exynos 9110 as opposed to the Exynos 7270 found in the Gear Sport). There is also speculation regarding the availability of a dual eSIM model, but this information is not yet confirmed.

It is interesting to note that the watch has a reduced battery capacity (230 mAh as opposed to 300 mAh), but this does not necessarily mean that the battery life will decrease as a result. Since electronic components improve their power efficiency with the passage of time, it would surprise us if the Watch Active didn’t have a battery life comparable to that of its predecessor, which was four days (four hours with GPS switched on).

The second possibility is that the gadget’s firmware files correspond to a smaller version of the device, which would explain why it has a reduced capacity battery. In contrast to the Gear Sport, which is only available with a screen of 1.2 inches, we anticipate that the Gear Active will be available in a variety of sizes.

Some people were holding out hope that the codename “Pulse” might allude to either a heart monitor or a blood pressure monitor. Sadly, the renders and the specifications that have been leaked do not support this. When you take a look at the list of sensors, you will notice that it has the standard gyroscope, accelerometer, barometer, and heart rate monitor. A stress monitor appears to be the sole significant addition, although there are a few other minor changes. It is likely that this will make use of the readings provided by the heart rate sensor about heart rate variability.
